Sahara Park Safari Or Mega Safari – make the unforgettable experience of discovering the desert by jeep

Sahara Park Safari offers you the extraordinary experience of a safari combined with quad biking,
a visit of a Bedouin village in the middle of the desert and a barbecue accompanied by an oriental show.
Your trip by jeep through the desert starts directly from your hotel in Hurghada, from where we pick you up and take you to the heart of the Arabian desert.
On the way, you will experience sand dunes and a Fata Morgana – the real wonder of the desert.
Afterwards, we will bring you to the quad station, where you first do a test drive before you cross the desert by quad.
Once we have reached the Bedouin village, you can rest a little and get to know the lifestyle and traditions of these mysterious people,
have a Bedouin tea or discover the area on the back of a camel.
During sunset you will take part in a barbecue in the Bedouin village camp, which is accompanied by an impressive oriental show with dancers, magicians and much more.

Sahara Park Safari:

The Sahara Park is a large complex, comparable to a small village, in the middle of the Arabian desert about 20 kilometers from Hurghada.
Aside from a stage where you can watch various performances such as belly dancing, the Sahara Park has a variety of other activities to offer.
These include camel rides, quad biking and a little zoo with rare animals from North Africa.
During the ride over hill and dale through the dunes of the Arabian desert you get a first impression of this fascinating environment.

A stop in the desert gives you the unique chance of experiencing a Fata Morgana, a so called mirage.
In a mirage, the light is deflected and refracted in layers of warm air; it is therefore not an optical illusion, as is often claimed,
but a purely physical phenomenon.
Of course, the trip by quad through the desert must not be forgotten.
If you have never driven a quad before, you have the opportunity to get familiar with how the four-wheeled vehicle works for 45 min as part of the program.
A visit to a Bedouin village with tea and shisha as well as an extensive barbecue completes your wonderful safari experience in the desert of Hurghada.

History of the City

Hurghada first emerged as a settlement of significance in 1909, when British geologists discovered oil reserves nearby. For decades oil—as well as fishing—drove the small Egyptian town’s economy. Today, it is a major resort city, part of a transformation along the Red Sea coast. As recently as the 1980s, only 12,000 people lived in Hurghada. It was around that time that hotels started to spring up, as the region’s spectacular coastal views, perpetually sunny skies, mild winters, and extensive network of coral reefs proved an appealing combination for developers. By 2014, Hurghada’s population had swollen to more than 250,000 people, and the city had become a haven for tourists—fueled by some of the best diving and snorkeling opportunities in the world. More than one million tourists, mainly Europeans and Russians, visit Hurghada each year.
